Free Ticket Rescheduling and Refunds During Prohibited Flight Period
2008-08-06

All flights are temporarily prohibited to operate at the Beijing Capital International Airport from 7:00 p.m. until 12:00 midnight on August 8, 2008, the opening day of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The following measures will be implemented to minimize the impact on passengers.

1.Passengers who purchased Air China tickets with the times departing from or arriving in Beijing during the prohibited flight period and apply for rescheduling or refunds will be treated as non-voluntary without charge.Rescheduling is only permitted once to the same class of ticket free of charge.A second application for rescheduling will be subject to the conditions of the original ticket fares.

2.In case of a directed landing caused by the prohibited flight period, passengers may cancel the flight and apply for a refund. The sales department will deduct the applicable fares for the used distance from the original fare and then compare it to the price between the place of suspension and the destination.A refund of the higher amount will be given to the passengers with that amount not exceeding the original amount of the paid fare.

3.These provisions also apply to rescheduling and refund of award tickets for mileage accrual and redemption.

4.Special note:  if the government departments announce temporary measures for other prohibited flight periods during the Beijing Olympics (or Paralympics), the rescheduling or refund application from passengers who purchased Air China flight tickets with the above time period will still be subject to these provisions.
