Air China launches Baggage Inquiry Self-service for passengers

Air China firstly launches a brand new and convenient self-service product in domestic airlines industry, which facilitates passenger to obtain information about delayed baggage. Air China passengers can log onto the Air China website, click on the ¡§Baggage Tracing¡¨ link in the ¡§Customer Service¡¨ column, enter the delayed baggage file reference number and the passenger last name to easy get the updated delayed baggage information at any time. This inquiring tool¡A which satisfying passengers¡¦ requirement ¡Aprovides more convenience for passengers to track the delayed baggage, whilst enriching and upgrading  the service product of Air China.

¡¥Baggage Irregularity¡¦ has always been a headache issue for airlines industry worldwide. It has also caused much more inconvenience for passengers. In order to increase and broaden the channels for easy obtaining delayed baggage information, Air China has successfully developed the ¡§Baggage Inquiry Self-service Module¡¨ with SITA on the platform of WorldTracer system  in November 2010. SITA¡¦s original ¡§Baggage Inquiry Self-service Module¡¨ is only available in seven different languages, including English, French, German¡A etc.  and is widely used by international airlines. However, the one launched on the Air China website also offers a Chinese version, which is tailor-made for Chinese passengers. With this new feature, passengers of Air China can get real-time information on the delayed baggage. This will simplify the inquiring procedure and improve the overall customer experience with Air China.
